D1 Hits the UK
Following the massive hype generated by earlier promotional events at Max Power Live and GT Battle, the D1 Corporation finally hit UK shores…. FULL FORCE!!
Utilising the ‘complex’ section of the historic Silverstone circuit, the UK’s first ever D1 Grand Prix Exhibition match turned the famous Brooklands and Luffield turns into a high speed playground for this eagerly anticipated showdown between an all-star Japanese line-up, and Europe’s rising drift stars, and we were there to capture all the action.
With the worlds top pro drifters flicking their machines sideways at insane speeds of over 100mph, generating absolutely unbelievable angles and masses of thick tyre smoke in front of a frenzied crowd, it was plain to see that drifting was here to stay!
A full day trackside of open practice sessions, qualifying and the ‘Tsuiso’ drift rounds, combined with unrestricted access to all the behind the scenes antics, made for an unforgettable experience.
